In late April of 2026 the American Advertising Foundation quietly removed the evidence showing that the Mormon church is employing Gordon Bowen as the lead of the creative team for the Salt Lake Temple Open House

From the 2026 Crossroads of the World International Trade Summit printed program, held May 6th and 7th.
An anonymous source sent me the link to a video in which Gordon Bowen backs off his statement that he is "leading" the creative team for the 2027 Salt Lake Temple Open House, but still claims to be proud to be working on the project.
Why does the LDS Church continue to refuse to clarify what Bowen's role on the project is?
"... some online sources have made claims that are not accurate."
This is true, but some online sources have made claims that are accurate. Why won't the church address the accurate claims?
"I can confirm that Mr. Gordon Bowen is not, nor has he ever been, the creative director for the Salt Lake Temple Celebration."
Yes, Aaron, we know. Bowen never claimed this. He claimed to be leading the creative team, and then went on video and stated he was working on the project. Stop being hyper legalistic, please.
"... Gordon Bowen's alleged involvement in the Salt Lake Temple Celebration."
Brent Watts, CCO of Struck and one of the creative directors for the Salt Lake Temple Celebration is on the record stating that Mr. Bowen brought him into the project and attended open house related meetings.
Watts' employees go a step further: they claim Bowen has been present at recent meetings. When offered the opportunity to issue a denial, Mr. Watts declined to comment.
